Getting Clear

Concentration and mindfulness are the internal ways in which the mind restores itself from being out of balance and lost in confusion to a condition of ease, clarity and wisdom. No external action needs to happen. ~ Sylvia Boorstein

The busier we get, the easier it is for confusion to set in. When our minds lack clarity, we tend to tell ourselves stories about how we can’t accomplish our dreams. Fear is easy. Stress is easy. We can access them at a moment’s notice.

How many of us work diligently to avoid the easy route? We welcome challenges and set amazing goals for ourselves. But we can draw on this simple and effective way to lift our minds from the fog: Closing our eyes, focusing on our breath – In. Out. In. Out. Noticing without altering. Focusing on calm for five inhales and exhales. That will do it.

We have access to a clear mind. Again, it’s very easy to stay confused. We can do that all day long. Remember, the easy we DO want is the easy route to calm.

Make it a strong day!
