We wish to GROW UP when we’re young. We equate growth with freedom, exploration, choice, and confidence. While there are those treasures, they come with a price – temptation, danger, overwhelm and vulnerability.
Just when we think we have reached a goal, made it through a difficult time, or succeeded in an area of our lives, there surfaces another, more challenging path ahead of us. One powerful strategy is to celebrate along the way; not the end goal, but the process. I am SMART! I am RESOURCEFUL! I am POWERFUL! This is how to encourage continued strength and endurance for the journey.
Recognize that there are many ways to measure our growth – this process that happens quickly, slowly, erratically, and in all directions on a daily basis. How will you dance with the unfoldings today?
