Swirlers & Suckers

Recognizing Swirlers and Suckers in our lives is a vital strategy towards protecting our health and happiness!  Regina Carey

Most of us are around people every day. Some are swirlers – these are the people who, as a result of spending time with them, leave us feeling awesome. We come in and out of each other’s lives sharing information, exchanging ideas, motivating, inspiring, and improving our outcomes as a result of knowing one another.

Suckers, on the other hand, are exactly what they sound like. These are the people who, as a result of spending time with them, leave us feeling depleted. They complain, cause trouble, gossip, nag, and spend energy on distractions. We can get pulled into a sucker’s energy fairly easily, being led to believe that perhaps we can help them feel better. This is false and extremely dangerous to our well being. Avoiding this energy is the better choice. If we fail to engage a sucker, guess what? He will find someone else who will. Guaranteed.

Life is short. Spend time with people with whom you swirl. You will live longer, happier, and more prosperous as a result.

Make it a strong day!
