Silent gratitude isn’t very much to anyone. ~ Gertrude Stein
We think it. We feel it. We long for it. Being thankful for a person, a moment, a gift, a meal, a prayer, a song, or love from someone when we really need it means being aware. Are we saying it? Today provides us with more time to tell others in voice or in writing or in deed how grateful we are for their kindness.
Make the time to say the words. Make the time to write the note. There is always time to share gratitude. The more regularly we practice this habit, the more natural it becomes. It feels fabulous – for both us and the recipient. We are all guilty of forgetting how good it feels to express gratitude. And like a gift, it is shared without expectation or need for reciprocation. Remember that. Give it away with JOY!
No longer are we silent, but learning to use our voices to say what we feel and share what we think when we are grateful for the gifts from another human being in our lives.
Make it a strong day!
