Surprise!

When we give cheerfully and accept gratefully, everyone is blessed. ~ Maya Angelou

When is the last time you remember someone dropping in on you unexpectedly? It doesn’t happen much – not neighbors, not family, and certainly not strangers. We drop-in all over the place online – our new social gathering spot, with moments of joy, filtration, and exaggeration. Not nearly as exciting as a real person at our doorstep, wanting to spend time with us.

How about doing something out of the ordinary this week? Bake something, buy a bottle of wine, pick up a loaf of specialty bread, or send a handwritten card and SURPRISE someone. It will spark a smile and warm a heart. Reaching out takes only moments and lasts a good, long while.

Remember this: someone needs attention. People are hurting. People are anxious. People are lonely. People are overwhelmed. People are grieving. When you are strong, it’s time to help those people. Do something.

Make it a strong day!
