Hold Fast!

Those who dream by day are cognizant of many things which escape those who dream only by night. ~ Edgar Allan Poe

What do you dream of doing? Who do you imagine becoming? The answers are like embers burning inside us, reminding us of what we thought of as a child. One of the reasons daydreaming was so fun when we were little is because there was no one squashing our ideas. We let our thoughts grow quickly like vines enveloping a pillar, reaching to the very top and spiraling out into the openness.

Grab a blank piece of paper today and begin to draw, write, doodle, or color. Turn on some music or white noise to satiate that part of your brain that might tell you it’s time to get back to work. Allow yourself to dream about what and who is inside you.

Post that creation where you can see it and look at it every day. Cling to your vision. Watch it grow. Wind yourself around the dreams and visions of your heart – this is your pillar. Hold fast to it!

Make it a strong day!
