“It is easy to live for others, everybody does. I call on you to live for yourself.” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
When it comes to keeping important appointments with doctors, other professionals, even our friends, we are diligent about arriving on time and having what we need for the meeting. That is called integrity and we pride ourselves in doing not only what is right, but what is expected of us in a society.
What about when you tell yourself that you will get up early and go to the gym before the workday begins? Or promising yourself that you will get home for dinner on time this week? Why is it so easy to tank on your own promises you make to yourself? Start making it more difficult to sleep through the workout! Set three alarms. Make it worthwhile to come home to your loved one(s)! Be in charge of bringing home the actual meal. Make it mean something. You are important!
This week, have integrity with yourself. Follow through on what you said you would do…it will ALWAYS benefit you. The return on investment is the motivation of success; therefore, you will be more likely to do it again!
Make it a strong day!
