“Everybody can be great. Because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve…You don’t have to know the second theory of thermodynamics in physics to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.” ~ Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
We have all certainly done something kind for another person during our lifetime. We have given and we have received. We have said “thank you” and “You’re welcome.” We have filled a need and benefited from another person’s kindness – and yet we continue to compare ourselves to others. Somehow not believing that we are worthy of great anything in our life.
You deserve everything wonderful and happy and good.
The World continues to remind us that no matter what your background, your education, your income, life happens, events happen that reshape our definition of success or of happiness. Just like Dr. King, when you have a dream – a vision for your life, it takes courage to make that first step. Perhaps the first step for you today is to recognize that everything you need to make it happen already exists inside you. Be grateful for yourself today and the gifts you offer to the world. No One is better-suited to do, be or serve than you are today.
Remember to get out there and be YOU, with your gifts, your smile, and your quirks. It’s the beauty of individuality and the first step to your true freedom.
Make it a strong day!
