While I’m uncertain as to whether my father actually coined the phrase, I know he lived by it and taught us to do the same. Earth Day (this Wednesday) is a great reminder that we need to venture out of the office, the house, the work-a-day grind and get our hands dirty – in more ways than one!
What can you do to beautify your surroundings? Buy a plant? Start smiling?
What kind of “life” could you add to your work environment? Install natural lighting? Laugh more?
What sort of projects could motivate your colleagues? Schedule a community outreach event? Initiate walking meetings to improve thinking?
Leave your brain, your office, and your surroundings better than you found them! It usually involves playing in the dirt and planting a seed.
