Instead of scratching that itch, we may want to stick our head in the sand! Life is easier when we go unnoticed; it’s also less fun. When we wake up and fear the social event, the workshop, the speech, the dinner, it’s time to take a deep breath and remind ourselves, “It’s not about ME! It’s about THEM!” Remember the mission – the anchor that holds us steady.
We are here, doing this work, because we took a chance, made a phone call, launched a website, or introduced ourselves to someone new. Taking chances is all about risking failure. That is how we learn. That is how we grow. That is how we become more genuine.
