“The difference between hope and despair is a different way of telling stories from the same facts.” ~ Alain de Botton
Watching the moon disappear behind a cloak of deep color was a peaceful experience. Pausing for many moments, I felt very small. Insignificant during this amazingly significant event.
We all can relate to the sensation of some outside force cloaking our inner fire – whether it’s our love, our thought process, our enthusiasm, our creativity, our intentions, or our values. All can be suppressed to the point of unrecognizable residue. Like the eclipse, we must believe that the universe will correct itself. Slowly revealing a shimmer of light, reminding us of what’s inside.
And, within the early morning hours, as I looked out the window to assure myself that the moon had regained it’s brilliance, so too will our smothered gifts be rekindled into brilliant beams of light! Shoulders back! Brain dusted off! Attitude adjusted! You’ve got this!
Make it a strong day!
