“Until we can receive with an open heart, we’re never really giving with an open heart. When we attach judgment to receiving help, we knowingly or unknowingly attach judgment to giving help.” ~ Brene Brown
Out-of-control lists, piled-up projects, notebooks FILLED with ideas, and only one set of shoulders on which these fall, right? Wrong! We can ask for help. There is no better gift we can give ourselves this holiday season than support people for our lives.
Determine the holes in day-to-day demands. Identify work projects that have been pushed aside. Find the “honey-do” list for your home. Then, plan the first phone call, email or text to a friend, handyman, or service company and experience the freedom! We can accept help, because we jump at the chance to help a friend, a neighbor or a colleague in need. It’s time to be okay with receiving. By getting the support we need, we are better fueled to help again.
Make it a strong day!
