What the Fog?

fog

Although our intellect always longs for clarity and certainty, our nature often finds uncertainty fascinating. ~ Carl von Clausewitz

Driving in the fog is a sensation unlike any other. Driving in the fog to a place you’ve never been is unnerving. Driving in the fog to a place you’ve never been IN THE DARK is enough to put you over the edge. Suddenly, our bodies experience a heightened sense of awareness and urgency; there is no time or space; only a desperate hope that the road continues to show up.

When we experience an acute situation that screams for our attention, our brains put out an APB for the rest of our senses. No worrying about the future. No sulking about the past. No opportunity to stop and make a plan. THIS is most important. Staying alive is most important in this moment.

Are you operating in a fog? Living life under extreme stress? Unable to concentrate or focus? Unlike the weather, we don’t have to wait for it to pass in order to get clear. We can stop, take a deep breath, and do something different. If the current conditions are not the best for operating your life, then alter the conditions.

Make it a strong day!
