Information Infiltration

One of the effects of living with electric information is that we live habitually in a state of information overload. There’s always more than you can cope with. ~ Marshall McLuhan

Our brains hurt. We get headaches; we forget words in the middle of a conversation; we lose papers and keys and important stuff; we use words like STUFF because we are relying less on our creative brains and more on technology!

It wasn’t that long ago that we had a choice whether or not to pick up the newspaper and read about our world. If we got up too early or went to bed too late, the television didn’t function – programming had a start and stop time! Not any more. Information is coming at us from all directions at all times of the day. There is no longer a start and stop time. It is endless. We are not.

Make a decision to filter what’s flying at you. Avoid the constant news updates, notifications, pings and dings, so you can tap into your own imagination and create a vision for the future. A vision designed by you – not by a source outside yourself who may attempt to influence choice, overwhelm you with options, and make suggestions based on your purchasing trends. Take responsibility for your life. Decide when you will start and stop the flow of information coming at you. Listen to your gut instead of your Google results. Trust your amazing brain!

Make it a strong day!
