What Are You Waiting For?

Opportunities are like sunrises. If you wait too long, you miss them. ~ William Arthur Ward

As children, waiting for someone to come to the house or traveling in the car on the way to an event felt like forever. We would ask, “How much longer?” The anticipation was almost more exciting than the actual event.

All grown up, we’ve lost that enthusiasm for the unknown. A shift occurs when we begin to experience the fears associated with living. Saying yes can be risky; it can mean possibly disappointing someone or not being good enough or failing miserably.

An opportunity has presented itself lately, hasn’t it? A chance for leadership. A chance for growth. A chance to launch an idea. So we sit. And wait. To see if the opportunity quietly passes. And when it does, we shrug our shoulders and tell ourselves we’ll grab the next one.

Life is asking you, “How much longer?” Get out there! Be vulnerable! And know that you’re way more than enough…you’re READY!

Make it a strong day!
