Smells have layers, like sounds have frequencies. Disentangling them is like trying to follow a song in a room full of loud people–you have to learn to tune out the other noises. ~ E.E. Giorgi
Diffusers are all the rage. They fill a space with combinations of scents that relax or invigorate or improve concentration. Our sense of smell is one powerful tool we can use to shift our thoughts and move us into a different frame of mind.
Aren’t we continually searching for ways to lower stress and escape from our hurried lives? Using our noses may not be the first solution we think of – until now. Think about how wonderful the holidays are as we reintroduce cloves and cinnamon and pine aromas into our homes. These smells often evoke memories of childhood associated with comfort and security. They make us smile without thinking.
Using our sense of smell with scented candles, essential oils, or diffusers can assist in our quest for improved mental health. Our senses are so powerful! Let’s use them to turn our chaotic brains into peaceful minds.
Make it a strong day!
